John: [00:00:39] Yes, we have a new star here that we’re showing in the Middle East for the first time.
Mike: [00:00:49] It’s an opportunity for everyone to meet, to do business and to see the latest technology.
Lemon: [00:01:08] Hello.
Mike: [00:01:29] So, Gulf Print & Pack is probably the largest event in the region for the Print Industry, specifically for the Commercial print and Package printing industries here in Dubai, in the UAE. We get around 10 000 visitors coming to our show, over the four days. Gulf Print & Pack has been running for; since 1999 actually. It met various situations, it started out as a yearly show and it was a packaging event. It continued in that way for probably about around 6 or 7 installments, and then it sort of gradually introducing itself to the World of Print. And then probably about 4 years ago ‘Tarsus’, which is the company that I work for – they bought Gulf Print & Pack from a local company here and we’ve turned it into a package printing and print event. The exhibitors come from all across the Globe – we have China Pavilions, we have Arabian pavilions.
Mindan: [00:02:30] We come to Dubai to show our machines, because this machines is high-speed machines. Yeah, now time improved a lot and the Chinese machines also improved a lot.
Dominik: [00:02:42] We can see great movement into mobile and into internet, so we believe in a couple of years, more than 60 % of all print purchases will be made online.
Mike: [00:03:40] We have many printers from all across who’re coming to experience what Gulf Print & Pack has to offer and I think the key thing is that we are working machinery show. They want to come and see things, they want to touch things, they want to see the quality, they want to be able to experience what the show has to offer and what our exhibitors can bring to them.
Mike: [00:05:14] The exhibitors come from all across the Globe, but also we just have all the European sort of big hitters if you like – from Xerox, through to Heidelberg, Fuji Film; anyone who is sort of a player within our industry would come to this show with some capacity. Heidelberg actually came back to the show this time; they’ve missed the last installment in 2013, so we are very honored to have them back. It’s definitely a bit of a coop to have them back to the show suddenly. Our visitors come from all across the UAE and the GCC specifically. We get around 50% of our audience from the UAE here. We have a large contingence from Saudi Arabia and then, as I’ve said from Qatar, Bahrain; also all across the region - we have visitors coming.
Mike: [00:07:00] I think the industry here is sort of always on the up. We are seeing a lot of an investment in new machinery and I think that’s the key thing about Gulf Print & Pack. It’s part of the buying cycle, so when the company is looking to invest in the new machinery they’re using the event like this, to scope out what’s on offer and to make an important purchasing decision.
Mike: [00:08:03] We have several shows that are related to the Print Industry. We are the organizers of the Label Expo series, so we have Label Expo Brussels, Label Expo America, we have one in China and we have several smaller events as well that we run throughout the World. Just next week, we have a conference taking place in Mexico City. And this week as well, we have a 3D Print Show running in New York, so we are very well versed in sort of the whole Print Industry if you like – from commercial print, through to Digital, through to signage, through to 3D and anything that you can think of. We’ve been in this industry for a very long time. Our whole company grew off the back of our Labels Portfolio, so we’ve got an incredible database of printers from around the Globe, who are always interested in learning about the latest technologies and what our exhibitors has to offer. Gulf Print & Pack will be returning in 2017 here in Dubai World Trade Center. We’ve already started booking people in on the first day of the show; even for the show opening we have people booking space. So, we will be back in 2 years-time.
