“So, I’m here at APC-NY with Jerry and Ellen from Paper Mart. First of all, what is Paper Mart Jerry?” Paper Mart is a fine paper and envelope wholesale distributor. We just celebrated our 75th anniversary. We’re a company that’s located in New Jersey and we service in New Jersey, Newark metro area.
“Fantastic. How do you interact with the production people and the art directors?” Well, we sell paper so that they can satisfy their needs. We try to bring it into the buckets like textures and natural fibers, and we satisfy their needs and help them satisfy their customers.
“So, do they call you and buy paper from you directly or are you more like spec reps, in a way?” They do call us and they buy paper from Papermart. Yes.
“Okay. But, do you sell a bunch of different brands or your own brands? I apologize. I’m trying to understand what you guys do.” We are a paper distributor.
“Okay. Merchant.” Papermart is a merchant distributor and we represent several merchants or several suppliers. Right. And, we stock an excess of 60, 000 items in our east hand of our New Jersey warehouse, and some of our major suppliers are here today. We have Neenah here. We have Mohawk here. And, our job is to educate the paper user, whether it be the printer, whether it be the spec person, whether it be the production person, and we try to match the proper product to the requirement that they’re asking for. And then, we provide it to their either printer or to them to produce their job.
“Yes. I mean, merchants are very handy to know. Now, I see that you’ve divided your display into trends. What do you think is going to be the most prevalent in 2016 paperwork?” I think there’s two trends that are still going to be prevalent. The natural rustic trend, as well as the glam and shimmer.
“It’s so funny that they’re so different from each other in a way, right?” They’re absolutely different. But, his has become such an overall trend that I believe that it’s sort of evolving into even just the true rustic.
“I’m sorry, we can’t hear you.” I’m sorry. It’s evolving into the real rustic, printing on woods and things. And, texture is always going to be important as well. I mean, we have a whole display on all the different kinds of textures. Again, we distribute Mohawk and Neenah and their textures are unbelievable, and you can find the right paper for whatever you’re doing.
“It’s amazing. Thank you guys. So, how can people get in touch with you? What’s your website?” Our website is www.papermartinc.com. You can contact us by calling us, 800-772-2001 and ask for myself, Jerry Levey. You can ask for Ellen Bakker.
“Ellen.” Absolutely. We’d love to speak with you and see if we can help you in any way possible.
“Thank you so much for your time. Have a great event.”
