“APC-NY event, Molly Rosenthal, Mohawk. Does anything else need to be said?” Nothing else.
“What is your official title, just so people know how awesome you are?” My official title is National Accounts Manager-Northeast.
“Awesome.” So, thank you for having us here today. We’re thrilled to be here and we want to talk about probably the newest acquisition for us and it’s to be the distributor in North America for the Curious Collection. That crazy lineup of papers, whether it’s papers with a potato-starch coating, which is cool, feels like sandpaper or metallic and translucence. We’re thrilled to have it and as you can see the line is extensive. There are new weights. There are new colors. Lots of interesting feels.
“That’s heavy.” Heavy? Yes. The one of most interest to me is Curious Matter. It’s a fabulous piece of paper and the top feels like sandpaper. It’s the by-product of the French fry and potato chips.
“Are you serious?” So, yes. It’s potato starch on the top. Very cool. And, we’re thrilled to be here. Can’t wait for the doors to open. We’re going to have a great show.
“What are you seeing in the trends in paper this year?”
We’re seeing in the trends for digital lots of pre-converted products. Whether its dimensional or embedded where we cut something out of a piece of paper and we patch something in, like a magnet or a sticker or a synthetic card, we’re seeing that that’s where the sales are going for us. And, people are amazed that they can make lots of interesting products in one pass on a digital press.
“Now, does Mohawk technically have spec wraps anymore?” I would say, the business development group, yes we have six in the country. They’re out and about talking and showing every day of the year, meeting with designers. We love to bring luncheon and do luncheon learns and show everything you ever wanted to see and really inspire people. “And if somebody doesn’t take you up on the offer to come to a luncheon learn, they’re crazy. So, how can they get in touch to make that happen?” So, in New York, you would email me at email@example.com. “Thank you so much. Have an awesome event and congratulation on the Curious.”
Thank you. “Bye.” Bye.
