Hey everybody, I’m Trish from foldfactory, and this is your 60-second Super-cool Fold of the Week.
Thanks for watching. This week’s Super-cool Fold is a fun dimensional solution from 3D Paper Graphics in Old Saybrook, Connecticut.
This is a proprietary solution. I don’t show a lot of proprietary solutions on Fold of the week, but once in a while something really cool crosses my desk.
This is so fun. This is called the Squeeze-it, and this was designed and produced for Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine.
It was a grand opening celebration. It’s an invitation. So, this shipped flat in an envelope, an A6 envelope, but when you open it, watch this. If you squeeze the sides, it pops into a dimensional scene. So, watch. I’ll do it this way. And, the way this works is through some magic of paper engineering. There’s little M-shaped piece of paper right here and it works with the tension in the paper. Watch it, it kind of go.
The M kind of reverses and locks outward, so really, really neat. This is a 12-point Carolina C2S. These were die, score, hand glue and assemble. I asked them about turnaround time, and they said this took about two weeks from when the proofs were approved to until they dropped the mail.
They did about 2,500 for this particular client. And then, the other thing I wanted to show you is that they also do this format in a little business card size. So, they made me a little foldfactory squeeze-it business card. It also is a fun, little, self-standing business card. So, just really fun and versatile, and I thought it was neat that there was the cute little mini one, as well. So, very cool. I hope you like it. That’s your 60-second Super-cool Fold of the Week, the Squeeze-it.
Forward this to your friends and colleagues, keep the dialogue going. And viewers, please send me your folds. If I use them, I’ll send you free stuff. Visit foldfactory.com for folded samples, dielines and print. And remember, think finishing at the beginning. I’ll see you next week. Bye
