Hey everybody, I’m Trish from foldfactory, and this is your 60-second Super-cool Fold of the Week. Thanks for watching. This week’s Super-cool Fold comes is truly fresh and original. We have never seen anything like this on the show. You’re going to love it. This is from my good friends at Hederman Brothers in Ridgeland, Mississippi.
This was designed by Hal Robinson for the Beau Rivage Casino and Resort in Biloxi. This is a special event invitation. I’m calling this a Rolling Knot Fold. This has influences of roll folding. As I said, it's a specialty fold. I know you’re going to love it. It has a nautical theme. It came in a custom envelope that was really cool. Paper is 80-pound Endurance silk cover. And so, as I said, there’s a nautical theme, and so they got these sailor's knots on the cover. And, this piece is meant to feel like it's knotted.
And so, watch how this opens. So, it rolls around, kind of like untying a knot. I'll do it again for you. I just love how this works. So, essentially, this is a long, thin rectangle, and this just has a series of scores. So, there's two vertical scores here and one here, and then there are two long horse or diagonal scores here and here. And so, they work like this, and then kind of roll around. That’s why we’re calling it a rolling knot, because it rolls. So, it has roll folding influence, but then it creates kind of a sense of a knot. So, these were offset printed, letterpress scored, hand folded.
They did just under 11,000 of these. So fun and new and exciting. I hope you like it. That’s your 60-second Super-cool Fold of the Week, The Rolling Knot. Forward this to your friends and colleagues, keep the dialogue going. And viewers, please send me your folds. If I use them, I’ll send you free stuff.
