Scodix is probably the first company in the world that introduced digital-embellishment on a big scale, and today the company has more than 400 installations globally. Franz Repp was recently appointed President of Scodix EMEA and is not responsible for pushing even more machines to the market. In this INKISH interview, Repp talks about the added value, the business opportunities, and why digital embellishment makes sense when producing in offset. FESPA has many different offerings, though the shows are the ones known best.

Imaging Solutions AG (ISAG) Are best known for their frames and lay-flat-photo books solutions, but the company also develops and sells other products. At C!Print '23, Imaging Solutions co-exhibited with Xpozer.com and showed a clever yet simple solution, together with a new alu/poly-based substrate, that can make stunning images printable, easy to send, and VERY easy to assemble. Two software solutions were also presented - by Imaging Solutions, as far as we see :-) The first is an extremely important software in the digital age, an AI-based image scaler that uses AI to render images to be used in a larger format - very convincing. The name of the software is Viesus. The other was equally interesting, though I found it strange that Imaging Solutions don't offer a demo- site to test the software's capabilities. The service is called MyPrint.ai, and what you do is upload min. 10 photos will then be made - again with the help of AI - into stunning images that can be used for your art. Everybody talks about AI, and with OpenAI's Dall-E2 and ChatGPT, MyPrint.ai is a welcome addition to the creative use of computers. Super nice to see! Marion Amélineau est la Directrice Marketing d'Indigo & HP PageWide Inkjet France et elle répond à la question de savoir si le marché en France est prêt pour une nouvelle vague de numérisation accrue. Il y a évidemment plusieurs réponses, mais un modèle hybride, combinant l'analogique et le numérique, semble de plus en plus populaire aujourd'hui. Présentation de la nouvelle machine HP Latex 2700W (Blanche) par le spécialiste produit Thierry Martin. Comme nous le faisons toujours dans notre série de "présentations-walkthrough", nous vous proposons un aperçu rapide des nouveautés de la solution. Nous passons la scène à Thierry Martin.

HP relève le défi écologique avec ses imprimantes latex de 4ème génération et ses encres à base d'eau. Sébastien Tison nous donne un bon aperçu et explique comment HP veut aider à relever ce défi, que beaucoup dans l'industrie recherchent. La recyclabilité est un enjeu important, donc il y aura de très bonnes discussions.

On retrouve Isabelle Savin, responsable Marketing chez Xerox. Nous abordons avec elle le sujet de la transformation digitale et comment Xerox voit son rôle dans ce processus d'accompagnement.

Il nous donne son opinion personnelle et sa vision de l'industrie depuis sa fenêtre chez Duplo. Nous faisons le point sur la situation après cette période difficile de crise sanitaire, qui semble enfin être dans le rétroviseur.

Nous retrouvons Nick Decock, Marketing Manager EMEA pour Mutoh, un nom bien connu dans le monde de la signalétique et de l'affichage. Il nous présente la nouvelle gamme de machines SR pro. Bien que Nick fasse partie du département marketing, il entre dans la technicité des nouveaux produits, prouvant que les gens de Mutoh sont des professionnels aux multiples facettes et cherchent toujours à offrir de la qualité à leurs clients. Le marché français est très important pour eux, c'est pourquoi nous les retrouvons ici à C!Print.

C!Print 2023 in Lyon is, by all measures, already a success. The EuroExpo Center in Lyon was filled up with guests, and most of the day, it seemed very busy.
