INKISH.TV proudly presents: Will Crabtre...

Will Crabtree runs a small print shop in Tampa, Florida - and we were invited to visit Will Crabtree and his team, while we were in Tampa on another job. TampaPrinter is both a walk-in-store and a web-store - and reason, why we found it interesting, is that no one should underestimate that companies like TampaPrinter sometimes have a strong owner a dedication to growth that is not often seen among larger printers. Will Crabtree has experienced huge growth over the past years and he has both the energy, the skills and the go-to- attitude that all printing operations can learn from. Get inspired by the positive attitude from Will Crabtree and enjoy this INKISH.TV episode.

One of them is the printing industry where CEO Reza Sezavar among his duties introduces companies from outside Iran into an industry that is ready to invest. After decades of embargo's, a quite big industry needs investments and Hamta International Group is ready to service partners. Quite interesting inside in a country that for many has been a closed territory. We at INKISH.TV has already decided to see if we can raise sponsors for a tour to Iran to see the potential - interested?

INKISH.TV proudly presents: Linda Levita...

At DRUPA in 2016, our friends from Enfocus in Belgium announced the X-Treme Switchover program and when INKISH.TV was asked to cover some of the programs we were SO excited about this. To recap briefly on the Switchover program the entire program aims to give an honest and openhearted view on the entire process from requirements, implementation, and results when getting a workflow implemented. How often do you meet a vendor that also show the obstacles, the worries, and the considerations whether this is worth investing in? The 'winner' or to be more precise the printer selected is Sign-Age in Clearwater, FL. Great family operated large format and signage company with motivated staff ready for exploring automation in their company. We really enjoyed the stay, the program and the great opportunity to be part of the X-treme switchover and we sincerely hope that you will view this, read more on the campaign site you will find with Enfocus and listen, learn and well - who knows, maybe be inspired for some kind of automation in your printing company as well.

INKISH.TV Proudly presents: Anders Ertma...

InterMail has a strong background in the mail, envelope and fulfilment business but is undergoing a lot of changes - from being solely a paper-based supplier to be a leader in Loyalty programs throughout Scandinavia. Actually InterMail has been a company working with digital solutions for more than 20 years - but with the new CEO Anders Ertmann it seems that a lot of changes are in the pipeline and that the company will change over the next years in order to become not only a leader in the business they are well-known for, but also for the business they will conquer.

INKISH.TV Proudly presents: Grafkom I/O ...

Sharing is the DNA of Grafkom I/O and therefore also one of the major reasons why we at INKISH.TV simply love this event. This year's Grafkom I/O was held in Gothenburg, Sweden - and this time there were more international speakers than in the previous I/O's. The event was action packed with content like information about the new European Unions GDPR program - which can be a tremendous challenge for - well - almost everybody. Another very exciting speaker was @Marc Freitag from Livonia Print in Riga, Latvia. Not only has Livonia taken a lot of market shares in the book market, but the visions for how they want to grow, even more, as explained by Marc Freitag. The new co-owner of Grafkom Magnus Thorkildsen is currently holding a position as CEO of the Norwegian printing industry and gave a very inspiring speech about how Norwegian printers has been suffering over oil prices, high labour cost and more - a speech which was much aligned with our own view on information that in our opinion is tremendously important for people working with Sales and Management. Your humble editor Morten Bech Reitoft was also on the podium speaking about "The mystery of prices" - This will soon be a book that you can buy from INKISH. In this postcard, you can see the speakers and though we suffered from huge technical problems (primarily sound) - you can see most of the sessions on our YouTube channel. Thank you for your support - always - and we look SO much forward to 2018 with many new films, exciting new products and services and more.

INKISH 2018 – What to expect from ...

Thank you for your support in 2017. INKISH.TV is still a relatively new channel and our success is based on your support. Your likes, your sharing, your support and the support from our Sponsors are essential for us and our future. In 2018 we are launching some new initiatives and in this little "dramatic" 1.30-minute teaser we share some of them. First and most important is our commitment to making more films. We are planning 40+ - some of the films are "business as usual" and some will be tested in new formats. INKISH.TV will also in 2018 be a partner with Argos Solutions from Belgium in their first ever 'Argos Inspiration Days' in Bruxelles from March 6-8th - which we are very excited about. We have also a partnership with Enfocus - also from Belgium about their truly great X-treme Switchover which will soon be presented on INKISH.TV. In 2018 we will also take some new initiatives - first of all, is the introduction of PaperDb - PaperDb is the world's maybe largest paper database with more than 27.000 types of paper - and all with more than 40+ parameters - so cross-referencing, comparison and other things will be made much easier. We will even offer a free API for software developers to include in their software - like ERP, MIS and, Web-to-Print solutions. To showcase PaperDb we have developed a simple INKISH.CALC App for Android and IOS where you can enter your size and choose your paper to get weight and spine size. Not revolutionary but on steroids compared to many of the current ones out there - and of course free of charge. Both IOS and Android versions should be online when you read this. In 2018 we will also become a book publisher and in Q1 we expect to publish our first book written by your humble editor Morten Reitoft about prices. The title will be - well - easy to remember "Prices". We hope of course for your continuing support and if you would like to use our content - feel free to do so. Finally - once more thank you and of course a very happy holiday season to all our viewers, friends and supporters.

INKISH.TV Proudly presents: Steve Metcal...

Not only has the new generations of UV- curing made print even more fantastic over the past years - but with AMS's development of LED-based UV - the company has become tremendously successful on the global print stage. AMS has always been a close friend to INKISH.TV and is one of the main reasons why we faster than anticipated became a global online TV-channel. We have made three films about AMS LED-UV customers from Sweden (Billes, Gothenburg), Germany (Königsdruck, Berlin) and, the Netherlands (Deltabach, Rotterdam) - so what is more natural than bringing an interview with President Steve Metcalf - thank you, Steve, for your support and a warm congratulation on your awards, your success and your extremely great products. This Interview we did at Print17 and it is done in two sep. episodes - where the second will be published during the next days, where Steve will present the latest

INKISH.TV Proudly presents: The AMS Spec...

Substrates and effects are quite difficult to show on video and though we rarely do this on INKISH.TV we really liked the new lookbook V2 from AMS Spectral UV. President Steve Metcalf presented the lookbook at Print17 and we bring here a more or less un-edited version of his presentation. What is worth thinking of is the fact that the entire book is done on a 6-color B1 KBA printing machine with one LED UV lamp. No effects have been added in screen afterward - so what you see is what you get. The lookbook shows the potential of UV-print and since both inks and investment in UV is dropping these years and you even can buy equipment from all the major vendors with pre-installed UV - AMS Spectral UV - now a part of Baldwin - has really pushed their way into printing companies worldwide. As Steve Metcalf also explains in the episode - the ink densities can be dramatically increased and since curing is instant you can even print with high densities on un-coated substrates, on plastics and this, of course, opens up for a lot of new applications for a printer. A while ago we also spoke to Marc De Jong from Deltabach in Holland about his investment in LED-UV and as he explained he was having his company in a relatively small place, the instant drying of the printed paper gave him extra space since he didn't have to stock printed paper before binding. With Baldwin's investment in AMS Spectral UV, it is, of course, interesting to see whether LED-UV will lead over H-UV. Baldwin delivers both technologies.

Marius Karlsen is a Concept Developer from the Norwegian company iNord. At the recent annual meeting for the members of the Federation of Printers in Norway, Marius Karlsen gave a great and very lively speech about the great tools offered by Google. Is Print Dead? A question asked these days by Pat McGrew from Keypoint Intelligence and Kevin Craine in their new podcast of the same name - however - Marius Karlsen said "You can use the platforms to sell the really sexy things - which is print" and when he handed over his business cards to the interested audience, this was letterpress printed business cards - all underscoring his statement. Take a listen to iNord's Marius Karlsen - quite clever and quite interesting guy.

INKISH.TV proudly presents: Postcard fro...

INKISH.TV have been for the past two years been invited to participate and cover the annual meeting held by the Federation of Printers from Norway. We have of course showed some film from the events and also participated in visits with members in the areas - but here is a postcard that we did from Stavanger - I like the music Jan Majnik have selected for this film - so I hope you also will enjoy this postcard. As cover page we have selected a photo with CEO Magnus Thorkildsen - and though he may look thoughtful - I can guarantee that he was in a good and cheerfull mood at the event - and I chose to use this photo also as our acknowledgement of a great corporation with Magnus - who here per January 1st is not longer CEO of the Federation. He will, however, continue to do some work for the Federation - but we will see him as an active partner in Grafkom - we look forward to that. All the best and thank you!
