Priscila Segura Azevedo · Marketing Manager LATAM · Fedrigoni
Language: Spanish · Subtitles: Spanish/English
At Labelexpo Mexico, Priscila Segura Azevedo of Fedrigoni shared the company’s enthusiasm for participating in the event for the very first time in the region. While Fedrigoni is a regular presence at Labelexpo shows in Chicago, Barcelona, and Brussels, this marked its debut in Mexico—a strategic move that reflects the importance of the Latin American market.
Priscila noted the strong interest from customers seeking specialty and convenience-driven label solutions. Mexico, in particular, offers a vibrant market full of potential, especially for a company like Fedrigoni that specializes in high-end, technically advanced materials.
With origins in papermaking, Fedrigoni began by producing textured and specialty papers. Over time, the company expanded into the label industry, which has become one of its core strengths. Fedrigoni’s label solutions are applicable across various sectors, including wines, spirits, tequila, mezcal, pharmaceuticals, hobbies, and personal care, offering tailored, high-tech products for each.
A major focus at the stand was sustainability, a value Priscila described as fundamental. She introduced the RI-MOVE line of sustainable labels, designed specifically for PET packaging. This technology allows labels to be easily removed during the recycling process, ensuring that PET containers can be fully and efficiently recycled.
During her demonstration, Priscila explained how standard labels leave behind residues hindering PET recycling. In contrast, Fedrigoni’s RI-MOVE labels separate cleanly in a caustic soda bath—a standard part of the PET recycling process—allowing the PET to sink while the labels float. This ensures effective separation and full recyclability. With a normal label, that’s not possible—there will always be residue.
In addition to RI-MOVE, Fedrigoni also presented its linerless label technology. Traditional labels require a liner—essentially backing paper—that becomes waste. The linerless design eliminates this waste entirely, allowing for full-width printing and greater material efficiency. There’s no waste, no discard. It’s another way the company is addressing sustainability.
Looking to the future, Fedrigoni hopes to strengthen its presence in the Mexican market. Many customers may still recognize the company by its former name, IP Venus, but the brand is eager to establish itself under the Fedrigoni identity. Priscila emphasized the company’s openness to collaboration and problem-solving, inviting customers to bring forward their challenges and projects. Fedrigoni is here to solve problems. The goal is to find the best solutions together.
She closed by expressing gratitude for the opportunity to present the company’s products and technologies and encouraged visitors to explore the stand and learn more about Fedrigoni’s forward-looking innovations.
