"We are only at the beginning," Noam Zilbershtain says when talking about the opportunities with digital print - and we are talking to a very confident General Manager. Noam Zilbershtain is a super nice and open person who walks into you - easy to talk to, and still with great opinions about the market and how he and his team can drive HP in the right direction. We also get a chance to talk to Noam Zilbershtain about the war in Israel, about liking people, and, of course, he gets an option to mention football :-)
In the second interview with Gershon Alon, we go a little deeper into what Production Beat is. One of the most important changes is that Production Beat is vendor-agnostic. You can add any machine to Production Beat and measure everything - machines with HP technology and even legacy hardware, as HP offers readers and sensors. Super cool!
In the first of two interviews with Gershon Alon, we ask him what differentiates the normal interpretation of workflow/automation, and how HP sees it. This interview is supposed to lead up to our second interview, where we talk about Production Beat, but also to understand the four pillars Bob Raus explains in the interview we did with him - also from the HP PreDrupa event in Indianapolis. Dig in!
At the HP PreDrupa event, the new HP Indigo 120K was released - a machine offering high quality and higher productivity than previous generations. 6,000 B2 sheets an hour, and many new AI features built into the machine, making it even easier to operate. Anat Ruhrberg and I have a walk while we talk about the 120K and the new 18K - two impressive machines targeting two different markets. Jump in :-)
Though HP didn't bring an Advantage T2200 to Indianapolis, you could still learn a lot - on the product site, they released a plus pack that enables the press to run colors at 800 feet per minute, the same speed as monochrome - so with that said we got an opportunity to learn more about the print heads that are rather unique to HP. But rather than having me explain these, here is Rolando Martinez - enjoy!
Every time we have an opportunity to talk to Bob Raus, we take it - not only is Bob Raus very knowledgeable, but he also has the ability to make things understandable - so listen to him. At PreDrupa he explains about the four pillars are founded of.
The Tech Fair is a tiny yet important corner of the DSCOOP hall, where HP's PreDrupa event also took place. HP's Nimrod Cohen allowed us to learn what Tech Fair is about, and in short, this is where new products and ideas are shown. The examples at the PreDrupa were direct print on aluminum cans, HP Indigo transfers, Conductive print, and much more, but listen to what Nimrod Cohen shared with us in this video!
At the HP PreDrupa event in Indianapolis, HP revealed products to be seen at Drupa. Eli Mahal works with HP's labels/flexible products, so we talked about the Indigo 200K, continued to the 35K, and ended with the Indigo V12. The V12 is, by the way, almost out of beta and broadly available - but listen to Eli Mahal - a great walkthrough :-)
Does HP have a responsibility for driving the entire industry? This is a slightly rephrased question, but nevertheless, global marketing HP Industrial print Richa Panda explains how and why it's important to have a leadership role in the industry—and how HP spends a lot of time segmenting the company's customers to ensure the best possible communication. A super interesting interview—enjoy!
What is the biggest difference between exhibiting at events like DSCOOP, theINK, PRINTING United, and the almighty Drupa? We ask the question and get a perspective from a company that seems to be becoming more involved - and as always - it's all about automation, automation, and automation. Enjoy! Ran Rotem is the General Manager of 3 Print. He explains in this interview their role as distributors in the seven territories across Europe - and we, of course, also get to talk about Drupa 2024. Great meeting Ran :-)
Do you think HP is good at listening to their customers? Pat McGrew gives her insights into this complex question. Fortunately, HP addresses most of the talk of the trade, but the hot topics like workflow/automation and how to get more customers into our industry are not discussed much. Enjoy!
How does HP gather data from customers to understand future needs and requirements? Listen to what the head of HP Deutschland, Markus Weiss, explains at the HP PreDrupa event in Indianapolis.
