Tecnau Libra 800 · Walkthrough · Stefano...

In this film, you'll get a walkthrough of the Tecnau Libra 800 all-in-book-of-one machine at Rotomail. Rotomail is one of Europe's leading producers of Books-of-One and has a strategy to produce books from reels, which then, in return, requires a binding line that can accept roles for covers and content - and with the co-development of the Libra 800, Rotomail (and other customers) can now produce books having two rolls of covers (for example one with gloss laminated covers, and one with matt laminated covers) - but you will see in this walkthrough. Today Rotomail uses several HP T-series printers, many Indigo's, a Canon ProStream, and much binding equipment besides the Libra 800 from Hunkeler, ContiWeb, and Kolbus. All are tight together with a software solution called Bronte, developed, programmed, and sold by Rotomail. Rotomail is an exciting printing company to visit, and they are very open-minded and not afraid of sharing how they do things. With a theme build around Hans Christian Andersen's Tinder-Box fairytale, the stage is set and by showcasing the fantastic result of fantastic tools customers are invited to see for themselves what's possible. Sylvina Nolte · Fast Forward · Old US Ve...

Three years ago, my now husband and I, we traveled the West Coast of America. Driving with our tiny trailer behind a Honda. We slept in Pismo Beach on a Wal-Mart parking lot. And next morning an old veteran. He came by and he was like: It is so cool what you're doing. And I want to support you. Take these 40 bucks and he was like: have a nice lunch. That is one print that stays with us for forever. I got so interested in the printing industry, not only because of you. I worked for Gelato. It is so interesting to listen to all those people all the time. I is inspiring. It doesn't feel like work. That is from a trade show I went to last February in Nürnberg. And that was like the beginnings of the Corona pandemic. For Gelato - I was planning those trade shows. And also going there as a sales person. And I went there and it was just so sad. People really miss that togetherness. Coming to those trade shows...it's like meeting your family members. I really like the trade shows online also. Focused on what you actually want to get achieved. And I think you can plan better ahead who you want to meet. I'm also selling wall clocks. Like designer wall clocks. That was very, very hard during Corona. Since all the businesses were closed. I was desperately trying to look for ways to reach people. And I wrote a nice postcard. And I got good feedback for that. I wanted to show with that picture that print really helped me in other jobs also. I feel more connected when I actually have something in my hand. Rather than only looking at it. I sent that one to show that print is also becoming a primary thing in my personal life. My husband was stuck in Germany. Because his American was not able to work, couldn't show our daughter to his family for a year. So he started an illustration course and actually that is the first print that he sold. So I'm very proud of that. And I just wanted to share that.

Sven Binder · Digital Nomad · X · Horizo...

Sven Binder was featured in a film INKISH did from the Germany photobook/greeting card printer Send Moments. See the link below. Binder is hooked on data-driven productions and advocates using XML data rather than the workarounds like JDF. With structured data, you have all the needed data to produce automated, and with books of one and touch-free production in both print and binding, it's necessary. Interesting conversations! Sven Binder recently stopped working with Send Moments, so we took the liberty to 'title' him "Digital Nomad." https://inkish.tv/inkish-video/sendmoments/

Sustainable Document Pocket Folders · Ke...

IGAS is the largest print exhibition in Japan, and Horizon, the largest exhibitor, demonstrates 21 end-to-end solutions. In this presentation, Keisuke Nakai talks about a solution that consists of a feeder, a rotary die-cutter, a spot gluer (addition), and a pocket folder - and voila, a document pocket solution is now available - and of course, still with the flexibility of using the solution for more applications. Great technology view, and with this option, customers can demand more sustainable solutions for document folders rather than using PVC or plastic.
