This session was nothing but super great, as Michael Bradley from Printvis did an excellent demo and involved Scott and Hugh (customers) in the presentation. Built on Microsoft Business Software makes PrintVis capable of almost everything, and though it can do much, the upgraded Microsoft UI makes the system look and feel smooth as butter. Leland Morgen takes us through the Durst Lift solution with ease and confidence. Leland has experience working with multiple ERP/MIS solutions, and during the presentation, it feels that Durst Lift is 'home' and, therefore, an answer that he can easily vouch for. Lift differs from other solutions, as almost the entire user interface is shared with customers, who can view orders, specify quantities, proof a project, and essentially do everything from a browser. Powell, America loves PrintIQ. arifiQ started as an estimation tool in times when estimation took a while. Their claim was a quotation in less than a minute, and not only has arifiQ developed into a full MIS system, but calculations are now instant and offer an interesting approach to pricing, for example, an InDesign plug-in enabling the designers to get quotes based on the design, format, number of pages directly in InDesign - and even ordering directly as well. arifiQ can also make an estimate based on an uploaded PDF, where arifiQ takes the size and number of pages and matches this to a product - and return an instant price. The ideas are solidly based on in-depth knowledge of being printers themselves. The Swedish company started with domain knowledge and added programming to the solution - now globally available, also integrated into HP PrintOS and many other OEM workflow solutions. All updates are applied to all customers, requirements accepted by the development team are delivered to all customers, and with a flexible pricing model, Omikai fits all types of customers. The Rogler platform is the only solution that specifically mentions the integration of robots and AGVs, and also the only solution where planning is mentioned as one of the most important features. The Swim Lane overview is excellent, and Hannes Rogler explains how AI is used to plan jobs in the best way utilizing the equipment to its max.
