International Printing Museum Los Angeles
We got an idea around Heidelberg’s 175th Anniversary about filming the oldest and the youngest Heidelberg presses. It came to our attention because I saw a 1905 Heidelberg press being used at the International Printing Museum in Los Angeles – and despite the museum being closed on Mondays, they opened their doors. They gave us a demo of this fantastic piece of hardware. Talking to George Bush and Doug Haines was interesting, as the 1905 edition of this press also offered increased productivity and was a giant technology step in the printing industry – some of the same terms we use today on technology that is, of course, even faster and more capable. We will soon share the youngest Heidelberg machine in the market – so enjoy this fantastic film from a tremendous museum, and stay tuned for the newest and latest very soon!
