Shawn Daly · Large Format Print Director · The Bernard Group
The deal may be announced at PRINTING United 2026 in Las Vegas, but The Bernard Group made the decision long before arriving at the show.
Morten B. Reitoft meets Shawn Daly from The Bernard Group in front of Agfa’s Jeti Tauro H3300 XUHS — and appropriately, the machine on the show floor is heading directly to The Bernard Group after the exhibition.
And it won’t be the only one.
The Bernard Group has extensive experience with Agfa’s Tauro platform and is now moving from its existing UHS technology into the new XUHS generation, with additional installations already planned.
The reason is straightforward: speed without sacrificing quality.
The Bernard Group produces point-of-purchase graphics and combines print with fixture manufacturing and assembly for major retail applications. In that environment, enormous production volumes and demanding deadlines make throughput critical, but color and quality cannot change simply because the press runs faster.
The new Tauro H3300 XUHS provides the company with significantly greater production capacity while maintaining the quality required by its customers. Just as importantly, The Bernard Group has worked closely with Agfa on color development, including configurations using light magenta to achieve the reproduction the company needs.
That collaboration is not new. The Bernard Group and Agfa have worked together on optimizing the Tauro platform around real production requirements rather than simply buying another machine.
For Shawn Daly, the new investment isn’t about experimenting with additional capacity. The work is already there.
The objective is to produce it faster.
