Oscar Pepermans · Owner · Rutgers Printi...

Rutgers Printing & Packaging Solutions outside Haag in the Netherlands is a great example of a company that uses the latest technology to specialize in the packaging niche, where the smaller RAPIDA 76 Format is a huge advantage. The format is slightly bigger than a standard B2 format, that enables Rutgers to have an even better sheet utilization of the packaging made by the company. The owner, Oscar Pepermans, has a strong belief and commitment to his company, and has, besides Rutgers, also developed an online platform serving customers in the Benelux. Before the Koenig & Bauer investment, Rutgers had a Rapida 75. Still, Oscar Perpermans has mentioned it several times, while INKISH emphasizes how great the new Rapida 76 is and how much more productive it is. Great company, great products they produce :-)

Optimizing Workflow with Solimar · Micha...

When you have a lot of print, it's immensely important to have software that can ensure a smooth data flow. As Michael Zimmerman explains in this interview, you get files in all formats, and though you would think a PDF is a PDF, it's not the case. When jobs, i.e., contain 30,000 PDF files, Solimar ReadyPDF is used to optimize the PDF file, so the file size gets smaller and, therefore, faster to process. Zimmerman is a very happy Solimar customer, and if you work in a mail department yourself, you will recognize some of the challenges he explains in this film!

Optimizing using PrintVis MIS/ERP · Scot...

Courier Graphics is located in Phoenix, Arizona, and is yet another amazing printing company. When entering the production, you'll see the huge 32-page manroland web-offset press, which is great to see in work, and funny to see how small a Heidelberg XL-106 - 8-color suddenly is compared to the manroland - however, the combination is super great for a company that focuses on HIGH-quality magazines, catalogs, etc. We are visiting Courier Graphics and President Scott Carritt, as the company recently invested in a new MIS/ERP solution from PrintVis, which has given Courier Graphics productivity gains and many other advantages, which we talk about in this INKISH film.

Onno Deen · GSE Dispensing · IST UV-Days...

GSE Dispensing is a Dutch company with 50 years behind them. The company develops and produces ink dispensing machines. Your humble editor must admit that he initially didn't understand what GSE Dispensing delivers before Onno Deen explained that he is selling a machine that can mix inks. The bell rang, and I realized it was a machine to mix inks, so I could understand the application. With a software solution in front of the machine, GSE Dispensing can mix spot color, but they can even keep track of all your left-overs and by this also use the leftovers as a base for mixing new colors - super interesting :-)

Onlineprinters is an e-commerce company ...

Onlineprinters is among the three biggest online printing companies in Europe. Just a few weeks ago they announced customer number 1 million and even though this is "just" a number it's still impressive. With more than 183 offset printing units, a tight partnership with companies such as Heidelberg, HP, and Horizon the company still look for double-digit growth in the years ahead. At the recent Press Tour 2018 INKSH in cooperation with WhatTheyThink.com got the chance to talk to CEO Dr. Michael Fries about this and that. Enjoy the very frank and open interview - and thank you Michae Fries for your time!

Oliver Schimek · Founder & Managing...

Filmed on location in Nürnberg, this INKISH feature marks the beginning of INKISH Deutschland’s first production tour, as Morten B. Reitoft visits Digital Print Group and speaks with Founder and Managing Director Oliver Schimek about what a modern, highly automated print business looks like in practice. The conversation quickly moves beyond the traditional definition of a printer. Digital Print Group positions itself as a true solution provider, where production is only part of the equation. With roughly half of its workforce dedicated to programming, workflow development, and customer-specific solutions, the company demonstrates how technology, software, and mindset come together to serve increasingly complex customer demands. The film highlights a production environment built on automation and flexibility, where a wide range of equipment from manufacturers such as Canon, Horizon, and Fujifilm is integrated into internally developed workflows rather than relying on standard turnkey systems. A notable aspect of the operation is the extensive use of robotics, implemented not only to address labor shortages in Germany but also to ensure consistent quality and remove repetitive tasks from employees. Serving large and demanding customers requires more than capacity. It requires a company-wide mindset focused on reliability, timing, and responsibility. With a team of 47 employees, Digital Print Group operates in a stable but evolving market, continuously adapting its processes and technologies to remain competitive. This INKISH film offers insight into how one company combines automation, in-house software development, and a strong service culture to redefine what it means to be a printing company today.

Now We Know What They Think! · Pat McGre...

In this Print Sample TV episode, host and evangelist Pat McGrew talk about the magazine. As she mentions "How long time ago is it you referred to an online publication?" hint - you probably more often refer to a printed magazine. So the printed magazine has a lot of value, and whether used to communicate a certain message for a publisher - like the two first examples - or as a teaching and marketing communication piece for a PSP - well, the magazine is not a bad place to get started!

Noel Franco · Production Manager · Huell...

This was our first filming in Mexico, so you are always wondering what to expect, and one of the things you realize in Mexico City is the lack of large corporate signs. You also encounter many closed gates, and it's only when they open that you get your first insight into the printing company you are about to visit. When you enter the gate at Huella Litográfica, the first thing that meets you after registration is a massive paper warehouse - so after passing through this, you quickly realize that Huella Litográfica is a Labels and Packaging company. They have flexo presses for their lables a couple of Koenig & Bauer presses, and a die cutter for folding carton, and then a lot of technology that is tailored to the products Huella Litográfica produces. As Production Manager Noel Franco explains, they are busy. Great company, things VERY much under control, and always great to see well functioning companies with a strong belief in the future - so much, that the company is planning further investments in Koenig & Bauer products :-)

Noel Dcunha · Managing Editor · PrintWee...

At Printpack India 2025, Wayne Beckett from Inkish spoke with Noel Dcunha, Managing Editor of PrintWeek India, about the exhibition's rapid growth and the evolving print and packaging market in India. With the addition of new halls and a significant rise in exhibitors, Printpack India is on a trajectory to expand even further. Projections for 2027 aim to exceed 100,000 square meters of space. Noel Dcunha highlights the booming packaging sector, sharing insights from industry professionals who report substantial business growth. The show has seen an influx of visitors, with estimates reaching 140,000 to 150,000 attendees. PrintWeek India has been actively covering the event, publishing two daily e-bulletins featuring installation updates and industry trends. As the only remaining PrintWeek publication under Haymarket, PrintWeek India continues to thrive due to the strength of the Indian market. The magazine has embraced digital transformation, expanding its reach through online platforms, webinars, podcasts, and the prestigious PrintWeek India Awards, where print samples are judged by industry buyers rather than printers. With a circulation of 13,000 print copies and an online database of 45,000 industry professionals, PrintWeek India reaches 350 cities nationwide. While there are no immediate plans to expand into regional languages, the publication continues to refine its offerings to serve India's vast print industry. Noel Dcunha acknowledges the challenges in growing circulation but remains optimistic about the future. With an estimated 220,000 serious print-related businesses in India—compared to just 16,000 in the UK—the industry is poised for further expansion. Printpack India continues to solidify its place as a global industry event. PrintWeek India remains at the forefront, documenting its growth and evolution.
