Brad Ranson is responsible for sales with KOMCAN - the distributor of Komori and MBO products in Canada, and according to Branson, business is good. At KOMCAN's booth, you see the MBO CoboStacks, cobots supporting printing companies with huge success. The interest is vast, and already two machines are at work in Canada :-)

From boutique providers to global giants, those who sell items that fit firmly in the lucury category know they need to keep finding new ways to intrigue buyers. Whether the sale is at a retail counter or online, the unboxing experience leaves a lasting impression. Here are some award winners from FSEA to give you ideas. The cool thing is that this is accessible technology!

Highcon was the first customer on INKISH, and what a journey the company has been on - from a startup to today a publicly traded company. At Graphics Canada, we meet Boris Bogdanovski, who manages Canada and parts of the US and explains the success of Highcon. Among other things, he explains how Highcon is developing high-energy lasers able to cut corrugated cardboard without burned edges and without burning the substrate. We will soon be showing two new films from Highcon - one in North America and one from Europe, but this is a good starting point :-)

Rotomail is, by all means, a fantastic printing company and is a living example of how Digital Transformation is not only about technology but also the mindset. Rotomail came from a background being an IT service provider, to Direct Mail, to now also being one of Europe's largest digital book printing providers. A vast number of printing machines from HP and Canon, embellishment from Scodix and MGI, binding equipment from Tecnau, Hunkeler, Contiweb, and Kolbus - but what makes Rotomail stand out from most is the software 'Bronte' that ties all the business processes from customers ordering books to plan, to imposition, to proofing, production, and invoicing - all seamlessly integrated, and with no pre-press planning at all - all super optimized. In this film, CEO Alessandro Antonuzzo explains the ideas behind the strategy and implementation, and as Rotomail is the owner and the company that developed Bronte, of course, proudly talks about the capabilities and how it can help other books-of-one-companies, should they choose to invest in the maybe best end-to-end solution on the market. It's been amazing seeing the Ahmedabad-based web-to-print developer's journey. We saw the company for the first time at a Print Pack show in Greater Noida in India, and from then at both Indian and international shows in many different countries. The company has developed the web-to-print solution Design'N'Buy but has recently released its DesignO software, essentially the design module from the web-to-print solution, but now possible to integrate easily with several standard eCommerce platforms - and with a comprehensive API set making it easy(er) to use in many different applications. During the pandemic, Nidhi Agrawal and her team wrote a book on becoming a successful online print retailer. Recently, the company was evenly awarded the Pinnacle Award for its software. Difficult to say this isn't a success.

Just after the already planned Bonjour here on the last day, we got a pleasant surprise as Volker Leonhardt and Andrew Fetherman honored the INKISH team with yet a fantastic opportunity to dig into the leadership of Müller Martini - we hope you enjoy!

PRINTING United has started, and thousands of people arrived today, filled with expectations, and so did Deborah Corn, Pat McGrew, and Morten Reitoft. Every morning we will speculate over expectations and evaluate the day passed. The first day didn't go as 100% as planned, as the Las Vegas Convention Center broke all records for bad internet. Not because you always find things to complain about, but in today's world where we need to be connected, and as a media, even more. But here we are, and hopefully, we will find a technical solution in the coming days - but enjoy :-)
